Water at the Heart of Agriculture: Challenges, Innovations, and Irrigation Solutions

This activity is intended for researchers, professionals, practitioners, producers, and students in the agricultural sector who are interested in water management, irrigation technologies, greenhouse climate, pest control, as well as issues related to the sustainability of production systems.

Program:

  • Current water-related challenges: resource availability, pollution, sustainability, and costs

  • Water-efficient irrigation systems and their components

  • Design and sizing of irrigation networks

  • The impact of insect-proof nets on greenhouse climate and crop yield

  • The effects of water restrictions on urban trees and ecosystem services
